Course Staff

Christophe Bisciglia, Course Director.
Christophe graduated from UW CSE in 2003 and has been at Google ever since. He spent his first 3 years working on systems infrastructure for search quality and search personalization. He is now focused on modernizing undergraduate computer science education and promoting open source software. Talk to Christophe about: how the course is going, ideas to make things better, questions about course concepts, questions about industry vs grad school, questions about Google and/or the software industry in general. Christophe holds office hours every Friday.

Hannah Tang, Instructor.
Hannah graduated from UW CSE in 2002. During her time as a student, she studied educational technology and was honourably mentioned for the Bob Bandes Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2001 and in 2002. After serving as the instructor for CSE 326, she entered the software industry and has been there ever since. Together, Albert and Hannah will lead lectures and answer questions about course concepts, as well as answer questions about the software industry.

Albert Wong, Instructor.
Albert graduated from UW CSE in 2004 and has spent his time since then in the software industry. Albert spent a great deal of time as a TA and lab consultant, racking up TA'ing experience at all levels of the curriculum; CSE 142, 143, 326, 451, and 490gk are some of the courses he has TA'ed. Together, Albert and Hannah will lead lectures and answer questions about course concepts, as well as answer questions about the software industry.

John Zahorjan, Faculty Consultant.

Alden King, Lab Consultant / TA.
Alden is a current undergraduate. He spent the summer working at Google and figuring out many of the technical details necessary to offer this course. Alden provides lab support for six hours a week. Talk to Alden about problems with HaDoop, the cluster, your code, etc.
