Security Evaluations

Unless otherwise indicated, the security evaluations are due at the start of class on the specified due date. They must be typed; handwritten writeups will not be accepted.

At the top of your assignment, please be sure to write your name, email address, student number, the security evaluation number (e.g. "Security Evaluation 1"), due date, any references that you used (besides the course texts and assigned readings), and the names of any people that you discussed the assignment with.

The goal of the security evaluations is to help you practice thinking about security -- to help develop the security mindset. As the course progresses, you will have the opportunity to apply more of the tools, techniques, and concepts that you have learned. The evaluations will be graded on a scale of 0 to 3 points. Exceptional solutions may receive extra credit.
