what is kibisis?

we carry many forms of money, and our use of them is limited.

We have an arsenal of credit cards, debit cards, checks, cash (in bills and coins, in varying amounts).

When we or our friends don't have enough money, we also lend and borrow amounts, and have to keep track of the money we've distributed or owe.

In situations such as splitting the bill at restaurants, or paying for rent with roommates, we have to mentally keep track of IOUs, precise amounts, due-date for payment, preferred method of payment, meeting times to hand off cash directly...

isn't there a better way?

why "kibisis"?

"Kibisis" is an ancient Greek word meaning "wallet." It was used by Perseus to carry the head of the monster Medusa. Though we did not design Kibisis for the purpose of the carrying the heads of monsters with snakes for hair, it is our hope that Kibisis will detangle the many types of money you have to carry around, and your IOUs.
