Homework Policies
There will be four written homeworks and three programming projects. All assignments are due at the start of class on Wednesday. No late assignments will be accepted unless there is some extraordinary reason beyond your control and you make arrangements with me before class. Email me at djohnson@cs.washington.edu. GradingHere's how your grade will be computed:
You may discuss the homework problems with your classmates on a high level but you must write up the solutions yourself and you should completely understand everything you write down. You are allowed to discuss your homework at a high level with other students, but this doesn't mean that you can copy someone else's solution. Cheating will not be tolerated. If you understand the material, then you shouldn't have any problem with the homework. If you're having trouble with the homework, ask for help from the TAs or the instructor! The University expects that you will do your own work. See this discussion of Academic Honesty: Cheating and Plagiarism for more information. |
