CSE 331: Software Design & Implementation

Course Overview

The aim of this course is to teach students principled approaches to designing & implementing software so that it will be almost certainly correct, as well as easy to test, understand, and change.

See the syllabus page for full details on the course structure and policies.

Communication

In addition to in-person discussion, students and staff will communicate through the following means:

  • Message Board: the one channel for the course. Announcements are posted there and are official, so keep Ed's announcement email on. Ask questions about course content and homework there too; we aim to respond promptly during normal working hours. For a matter you would rather not post publicly, use a private post, which only the staff see.
  • Email: To discuss a personal matter related to the course, email both instructors, ztatlock@cs.washington.edu and jrw12@cs.washington.edu, and reply all on the thread so we both stay in sync.
