1. If our brain is Turing computable, is free will an illusion?
- Yes, but we can’t simulate it on any real machine
- Just because the weather is Turing computable doesn’t mean that we can predict it
- Animal brains are hopelessly complex and noisy
- The underlying representation may not be mathematics
2. Do a small set of primitives underlie neuronal computing?
- Digital computers
- Transistors ? switches ? Boolean algebra ? math machines
- Neurobiology
