§1.34 Class IllegalThreadStateException

    extends  java.lang.IllegalArgumentException  (I-§1.32)

Thrown to indicate that a thread is not in an appropriate state for the requested operation. See, for example, the suspend (I-§1.19.39) and resume (I-§1.19.29) methods in class Thread.
