Grades

Grades will be assigned approximately as follows:

For the labs and exercises, you are encouraged to work in groups to discuss; everyone must submit the solutions separately. For the project, you will work in groups of 4 to 6; each group needs to submit only one copy of the proposal/report. There is no exam. The percentages may be adjusted if appropriate.

Policies

Late days

Each lab will be graded 7 days after its due date. In other words, you have up to 7 late days for each lab; you don’t have to ask or tell us. But keep in mind that submitting one lab late may impact the time you can use for the next lab. Late days are best for emergencies where you fall behind due to illness, job interviews, athletic events, deadlines in other classes, etc.

There are no late days for exercises or projects.

Cheating vs. collaboration

For this class, you are strongly encouraged to collaborate and discuss labs and projects. You are also strongly encouraged to read source code from and contribute to open-source projects.

If you obtain help of any kind, always write down your sources.

Please read CSE’s Academic Misconduct Policy.

Accommodations

Please refer to university policies regarding disability accommodations or religious accommodations.
