April 21 & 23, 2015

Tuesday - April 21, 2015: 3x3 Update

Three done:
  • Website updated with project proposal.
  • Started coding:
    a. Android app repo.
    b. Intergrated map aspect.
    c. (in-progress) Working on Places API intergration
  • Initial mockups.

    • Three will do:
  • App development:
    a. Complete the Places API (including saving places to a journey).
    b. Display current journey view.
  • Continue developing mockups.
  • Updating website with more material and project proposal updated content.

    • Three blocker:
  • Android device to test code.
  • Test mockups and get feedbacks.

    • Initial Mockups:
    Feedbacks on mockups:
    1. a. Rename "Home" to something else (like basecamp or pit stop) because “home” sounds like a permanent/long term place.
    2. b. fix the dropdown functionalities when setting a place to be the homebase
    3. c. Fix filter button to be consistent with other android apps.
    4. d. Use an up (^) arrow on the List pull up item to indicate to the user that functionality

    Thursday - April 23, 2015: Thursday Meeting

  • Still working on trying to get the Google Places API’s Place Picker integrated into our app
  • Updated mockup images based on the suggestions we received on Tuesday
  • Took a look at a website called utrip.com which creates “personalized day-to-day trips”
