Task 3

Task 3: Find out how much a particular appliance purchase will save you each month.

1. Click on the menu icon in the top-left of the screen.
2. Select "SmartShop" from the menu that slides in on the left.
3. Click the "Scan Barcode" button, you have a light bulb in your hand that you want to look up.
4. Click and drag anywhere on the iPhone to move the image around. Move the phone so that the red line on the barcode scanner is over the barcode on the left side of the screen, simulating pointing your phone's camera at a barcode on a product. Drop the phone there and the barcode will be scanned.
5. Click on the "Select appliances to replace" button.
6. Click on the checkbox to the left of "Living Room Lights" to mark all appliances under that category as ones you intend to replace.
7. Select "Done" at the bottom-right.
8. Observe the amount of money replacing these bulbs with the scanned bulb will save you on your utility bills each month and each year.
9. Click the back button to return.
