Exploring different circuit implementations

• A Boolean expression can be implemented directly using a logic circuit

• We will use the laws of Boolean algebra to transform expressions into different, equivalent expressions

• A simple Boolean expression corresponds to a small logic circuit

• We could memorize and apply the laws of Boolean algebra

  • but CAD tools will apply them automagically
