Interface Summary

Pageable	A Pageable implementation represents a set of pages to be printed.
Printable	A Printable object is called by PrinterJob to render the graphics of a page.
PrinterGraphics	The Graphics objects passed to Printables to render a page implement the PrinterGraphics interface.

Class Summary

Book	Represents a document in which pages may have different page page formats and page painters.
PageFormat	A PageFormat instance describes the size and orientation of a page to be printed.
Paper	Describes the physical characteristics of a piece of paper. 11/11/97 Notes - Should support media color, weight, and type.
PrinterJob	The principal class that controls printing.

Exception Summary

PrinterAbortException	PrinterIOException is used to indicate an IO error of some sort has occurred while printing.
PrinterException	PrinterException and its subclasses are used to indicate that an exceptional condition has occurred in the print system.
PrinterIOException	PrinterIOException is used to indicate an IO error of some sort has occurred while printing.

Package java.awt.print Description

Provides classes and interfaces for a general printing API. The API includes such features as:

• the ability to specify document types
• mechanisms for control of page setup and page formats
• the ability to manage job control dialogs
