Helpful things to keep in mind

• Try to get to know the people in this class. Some of my best friends at the UW I met in startup. Most of the people in this class are on the same boat as you and will definitely take the same classes as you do throughout the major. It's a perfect place to start to get to know your peers.

• Some UW classes are quite tough so don't be discouraged if a class's material doesn't click immediately. Try to get a study group or ask for resources from your TA, they are there to help.

• Explore different clubs! The UW has so many different and interesting clubs to check out, if you want to browse through some of the clubs you can check them out through this website RSO's

• You all deserve to be in this department, if you've had years of experience or this is your first CS class, the people around you want you to succeed. So don't be afraid to ask for help.
