Biography
2016 Season
This is the first season for Baolan in LPL. He joined Invictus Gaming in July after leaving
Blue Ocean Esports, a team in Tencent Gaming (TGA). His performance has helped the
team to improve and finished 4th in regular season with a 5-11 record. However, IG was
knocked out in the first round by the team I May, just like before.
2017 Season
At the beginning of 2017, Baolan renamed himself to be Megan. The team
finished 3rd place both in Spring and Summer regular season. Even though IG got swepted by
team Newbee in Spring playoffs, they did much better in Summer and got 3rd place
after winning team WE. At the same time, Baolan was recognized as the "King
of Assists" for the summer season. Sadly, IG failed to make it to the worlds finals
after WE got their revenge and beat IG with 3-2. At the end of the season, Megan
changed his ID back to Baolan.
2018 Season
IG has an excellent record in Spring regular season with 18 straight wins. However,
IG loses in the Spring playoffs against team RNG and ends up with 4th in spring
season. They made improvements and well in summer season and got all the way to the final
in the playoffs. Again, they faced RNG and lost with 2-3. Yet, they got a spot
in Words championship matches. At the end of S8, IG won the first world championship for
LPL on November 3rd, 2018.
2019 Season
Coming in with 2nd place in regular season, IG won the LPL championship in Spring playoffs.
This was the first time that IG actually won a LPL chamipionship after almost 7 years.
Baolan was recognized as the "King of Assists" for spring season.
In 2019- Mid-Season Invitational, IG lost in the first round of playoffs to Team Liquid
. At the beginning of summer regular system, he was benched for no reasons for half
a month. He came back after the match which IG was swept by team V5 with 2-0. With
his return, IG has got three straight win so far.
