GEOVANI'S ANIME REVIEWS

My Favorite Anime Movies

Blade Runner 2049

BLADE RUNNER 2049

One of my favorite movies of last year. Some of the most impressive aspects of this film were the cinematography and the music. It pulled me into the movie in a way that few movies have ever been able to do before. A completely awe inspiring film, especially when viewed in IMAX in the most immersive environment possible. It leaves plenty of open doors for a potential sequel as well.

Interstellar

INTERSTELLAR

My favorite movie of all time, this film really spoke to my inner child with a fascination for the unknown. I wrote to NASA once in elementary school telling them that I wanted to be an astronaut someday, and the moment that they responded back was when I complely fell in love with the final frontier. This curiosity has followed me to this day, and this movie delivered in a way that few space movies have been able to do before.

Coco

COCO

Coco is a masterclass in making the viewer care more about the characters in a few minutes than most movies can do in their entire runtime. I won't spoil anything here, but this movie deals with death in a fascinating manner that is very respectful of Mexican tradition. It is vibrant and wonderful, a good time for children and adults alike. Have a box of tissues handy for this one as there were many scenes that made me tear up.
