Me and Coco
Hello! My name is Tara and I am currently a 1st year master's student at
UW in the computational linguistics program. I was originally born in
Germany but I grew up in Florida and ended up in Seattle to do my
undergrad at UW, which was in linguistics. Some of my favorite languages
are German (which I am relatively fluent in), Māori (a language native
to New Zealand which I have briefly researched), and Bardi (an
endangered language of Australia that I have done some grammar
engineering-related work in).
As far as non-school-related interests go, I work part time at a horse
barn out in Redmond a couple times a week (it gets me outside, even in
the rain), love to read (though I can rarely find time to do it), am a
big fan of listening to music, and love to go hiking.
