The computing set-ups for CSE142 and CSE143 are essentially identical.

See the CSE142 Computing At Home page for details.

Note that for CSE143, the Java SDK version must be 1.4.0_01, 1.4.0_02 or 1.4.0_03. 1.3 will not work. 1.4.1 will probably work, but there have been problems reported using it with Bluej and Drjava, especially on Windows XP.

Whatever environment you use, be sure to enable assertions. See DrJava step 6 and Bluej step 7 for how to do this in those environments.
