Where did you grow up? What was your academic path?

I grew up in Las Vegas, but I love rain and I wanted to major in a technology field so I decided to come to UW!

What was your first exposure to computer science?

My first exposure to CS was when I was 7 and my highschool cousin showed me how he could get into my dad's laptop without the password. He did a lot of damage to the laptop's operating software, but I was fascinated and became obsessed with technology in general.

What gets you most excited about computer science?

CS is a realm of limitless possibilities. Everyday it expands further into every aspect of our lives, and brings the world together. I'm always excited to see what new technology comes out, play with it, then take it apart and see how it works.

What are some of your hobbies, talents, and skills?

I love sketching and painting, but I am much better with a pencil than a paint brush.  I also like learning new languages - I've taken spanish, mandarin, and korean classes, and I will be taking french classes over the summer.

What will be consuming your time this quarter?

This quarter I am taking a CSE class, an INFO class, and an HCDE class, I am a TA in this class, and I will be working on a website for my father's small business.
