The first half of the class will follow
this textbook. It has a very good introduction to digital systems
design, and the best short introduction to Verilog that I
know. You'll be using Verilog for the labs, so you will find this
chapter valuable. (I would shy away from the Verilog tutorials and
intros on the Web, which can be confusing.)
