1. Discuss as to how an AS makes its routing decisions in order to maximize its profits or minimize its payments to other ISPs.
2. ISP incentives can be at loggerheads with global route performance. Justify this claim.
3. Even if economic issues aren't at play, in what ways are BGP computed routes be sub-optimal with respect to network performance.
4. Discuss ways in which you could improve BGP.
5. If you are a multi-homed AS, how can you exercise control over which of your transit links are used for incoming and outgoing traffic?
6. Discuss what does it mean for a routing protocol to be scalable. Discuss mechanisms or techniques that are in BGP in order to improve routing scalability.
