I enjoyed reading this excellent, almost "all-there-is-to-know" about
shared virtual memory paper.

The authors clearly make their case with regard to the need for shared
virtual memory and then in progressive manner discuss the approaches to
the implementations. Dijkstra-style formal approach is offered along
the way.

The last section describes the results of their experiments, which makes
it clear that shared virtual memory is a state of the art approach to
parallel computing.
