Quiz practice

Practice the concepts and short-question style used in CSEP 546’s in-person quizzes. Each set checks three main learning goals for that lecture, with one short question per goal.

Quiz 1 — October 12: choose Week 1 below. Coverage follows the October 5 lecture: independence and conditional probability, maximum likelihood, and the introduction to Gaussian models and their mean estimate. Linear regression, squared-error loss, and later Week 2 topics are outside this quiz’s practice scope.

These generators are very similar to the instructor generator. Actual quiz questions may use different numbers, contexts, or wording. Try a set independently before opening the worked solutions; explain your reasoning, rather than memorizing an answer.

Finite practice bank: each material week has 100 prepared versions (0–99), served from the UW course website. Choosing a version retrieves a prepared set; it does not generate new questions or call an external AI service. Versions can reuse question types and prompts.

Choose the material you have covered. Later weeks follow the projected Autumn 2026 schedule and may change. Practice scores do not count toward your course grade.
