Chaos Router

Router is a randomizing, non-minimal adaptive packet router (It is not related
to Chaos
theory of physics)
•Chaos
Router sends packets along minimal paths in almost all cases, but when
blocked by severe congestion, it sends packets along any path
•Avoids
the hot potato router’s “too eager policy” to send packets the wrong
direction
•Avoids the minimal adaptive router’s “catch-22” of discovering
congestion after all of the flexibility is gone
