CSEP510 Spring 2012 - Research Papers and Reports

Starting May 7, there will be presentations and discussions of current HCI research, including guest speakers. For each class I'll assign 2-3 papers to read. Please read these in advance of class.

For each paper, write a short summary of the paper, and raise an interesting question about the work for discussion in class. (Feel free to raise more than one question if more occur to you, but only one is required for the assignment.) We'll make your questions available to the guest speakers in advance.

Reading reports will be due each Sunday at 6pm, the evening before class, so that we have time to gather the questions and send them to the speaker. These should be submitted using Dropbox. You can format them as plain text, .doc, .docx, or .pdf files.

These will be graded 5 points per report (3 points for the summary, 2 points for the question). If you don't get the report done by Sunday at 6pm, you can submit it for partial credit up until class time -- if it's late, only points for the summary, not the questions.
