• A language is some set of strings

• The Language of a DFA is the set of strings the DFA recognizes

• In the previous examples, we can write

  • L(M1) = {0,1}* 0
  • L(M2) = {0,1}* 00
  • L(M3) = (0* 1 0* 1 0*)*
  • L(M4) = {0,1}* 001 {0,1}*
