Location-Based Activity Recognition
by
Lin Liao
Automatic activity recognition is important for long-term
health care and providing proactive help. In this talk, I will discuss
the machine learning techniques we developed in order to recognize
people's daily activities from location data (e.g. GPS measurements).
These techniques have been used in a personal guidance system to help
cognitively-impaired people use public transit safely and independently.
Discussion will follow the talk.
