In the two most recent quarters, we have examined systems such as GenScope, AgentSheets, SimCity, the Geometers Sketchpad, Model-It, Stella, ToonTalk, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and the Sims.
During this quarter, most of our attention will be spent on papers and discussion, drawing general principles and design guidelines for construction and simulation-oriented educational software.
New participants are welcome. Most quarters our group is interdisciplinary and contains a mix of graduate students, undergraduate students, faculty, and visitors. If you are interested in the seminar and you are a CSE grad student, you can simply register online. If you are not in CSE or are an undergraduate, contact Steve Tanimoto (tanimoto@u) about participating and getting an add code.
