Optical flow
• Optical
flow is the apparent flow of intensities across the retina due to motion of objects in the
scene or motion of the observer.
• We can use a continuous mathematical model and attempt to compute a spatio-temporal gradient at each image point I [x,
y, t], which represents the optical flow.
