Welcome to CSE 571, Introduction to Mobile Robotics

This course provides an overview of mobile robot control and sensing. It will introduce mobile robotics from an AI perspective, emphasizing the algorithmic rather than the hardware aspects of robotics. Topics include behavior based control, sensor interpretation, world modeling, and navigation. In a set of projects using real mobile robots, the students will deepen their understanding of the complexities of robot activity in real-world situations.

The class meets WF 14:00-15:20 in EE1 031 or the robotics lab (Sieg 420).

See you there,
Dieter Fox
