- You are expected to add your own name to the schedule, as well as links to the paper you're presenting and any other related material. Note that citeseer links don't seem to be reliable, so if you find a paper on citseer, you should copy the pdf into the paper presentation web directory. The directory, accessible from department machines, is:
/cse/www/education/courses/558/CurrentQtr/paper-presentations/
- After updating the web page, you should send email to cse558@cs to let everyone know what the paper is and that it's available online.
- You should also bring the video projector to class on your presentation day. We have a standing 3pm reservation for the Sharp XGA projector in the support office. The power cord on the projector is too short, so be sure to check out an extension cord. Please come to class 5-10 minutes early to set up the projector.
- You can put your presentation on your own laptop, or request to have it placed on one of the instructor's laptops. If you want to do the latter, notify the instructors and put your presentation (including videos if needed) in:
Please run the presentation once from that directory to make sure all the needed files are present.
- Last (but not least!!), you can use the questionnaire as a guide to creating an effective presentation. The target length of your presentation should be 15 minutes.
