Project Proposal

Submit a formal proposal (1-2 page PDF) describing your project. Outline the timeline and what you plan to accomplish by each checkpoint and for the final project. We expect each proposal to describe:

  1. The problem
  2. Proposed solution
  3. Necessary context, tools, libraries and resources you would use in the process.
  4. Timeline and Checkpoints

Here is some example ideas.

Midpoint check-in

A short report (1 page max) on how the project is going and what has been accomplished thus far.

Final Report

Each group will submit a short (at most 12 page, minimum 6 pages - excluding references) written report using the ACM (sigconf) / Usenix two column template. Please submit the report as a PDF file on canvas.

The submitted report must contain the following:

  1. Please include the names and email of all team members on the submitted report.
  2. An abstract summarizing the report i.e. problem, motivations, conclusions
  3. Introduction i.e. motivating the project
  4. Body of the paper
  5. Related Work
  6. Conclusion
  7. Progress since the checkpoint
  8. Goals set out to accomplish and those accomplished

Final Presentations

Each group will be provided upto 12 minutes for their presentation (10 to present and 2 for Q & A). The final presentations must also be submitted on canvas. All the presentations and will be judged for the following:
