Programming with Constraints: An Introduction, Kim
Marriott and Peter Stuckey. (This will be used for the constraint
languages part of the course, and is recommended rather than required.
There are two copies on reserve in the Engineering Library. Students may
want to buy a copy to share among several people, or use the ones in the
library.)
- Various papers, to be distributed during the quarter
Exams
- midterm and final. The final is Dec 10, 2:30-4:20.
Course Project
- 10-15 page paper on a language issue of student's choosing, and
presentation in class. Optional implementation component. Topic negotiated
with instructor. Students may work individually or in pairs; more work
will be expected from a pair.
Grading scheme
- midterm 15%
- final 25%
- project 25%
- homework 35%
(May be altered a bit depending on how things go.)
