Designing an RFID Ecosystem for Classroom Presenter

by
Justin Cutter

As RFID tags become more and more ubiquitous, many problems arise regarding individual privacy, and, for user applications, shared use of of reader hardware and computational resources. The RFID Ecosystem is a framework for RFID-based applications, which explores how to provide shared access to a set of readers, while enforcing a user-settable privacy level for each individual tag carrier. In addition, the project explores how to infer higher-level activity from a set of raw tag data, and provides that information to user applications on request. The goal of the project is a framework through which CSE students can build RFID-based applications in the Allen Center.
