by
Udam Dewaraja
Visual Messaging has become a hot topic in the computer science world
these days, but the concept of communication using visual symbols dates
back to the early days of mankind. Visual Messenger is a project that
investigates the possibility of breaking language barriers by using a
universal set of symbols. This presentation will provide an overview of
Visual Messaging, the uses of chat programs as a method of communication
and how various methods of logging can be used to analyze usage and
effectively of the client. I will also provide insight to the internals
of the project and the customized client-server model that was built for
this project, developing applications for the IPaQ platform, as well as
talk about the future of Visual Messaging.
