Team Projects

Team 1: VR Dodgeball

  • VR Dodgeball is a networked multiplayer game built with AFRAME where players can play virtual dodgeball. This gives people a fun way to exercise, de-stress, and interact with others, especially in a pandemic where in-person games of dodgeball aren’t as practical (Note: only available for play on the headset)

Team 2: Who’s The Murderer

  • "Who is the Murderer?" is a collaborative VR role-playing game for up to 5 players. Each player's player has abilities and a different mission to complete by exploring different rooms, finding clues, and deducing the truth - which one of the players is the murder! Each player gets a short script of information and then can walk around the rooms, pick up items, talk to the other players, and decide who to trust.

Team 4: GuitXR

  • GuitXR is an in-development application enabling guitarists to learn faster and elevate their mastery through the use of Augmented Reality. GuitXR aims to visualize chords and music tabs as holograms floating in front of the player, providing a hands-free experience by advancing the tablature when the correct note is played via pitch recognition. Experienced guitarists and beginners alike will also be able to pick up new songs and advanced techniques more easily by following visual indicators on the strings of their physical guitars, alongside potentially helpful guidance such as optimal handshapes.

  • Download/Try It (NOTE: GuitXR requires an attachment to hold the magic leap controller on your guitar neck)

Team 5: BallARs

  • BallARs is an augmented reality application that allows users to practice their basketball shooting skills by having the opportunity to shoot a virtual basketball into a virtual hoop and gain feedback from in-game physics and pose estimation. What makes our app unique is we will have a retargeted model to showcase how the user shot, and compare their shot to an NBA player.
