5.26.04 Continued work on SRAM and USB verilog code for FPGA
Have
source code working to get image and pixel data from webcam
5.24.04 Figuring out how to use the SRAM on the FPGAprotoboard
Working
on PC software to get images from the webcam
5.19.04 Completed Update 2 and product brochure draft
5.18.04 Figuring out sample PC software to send USB packetsto the FPGA
Finishedimplementation of C++ code of resize algorithm eliminating all divides/multiplications
5.17.04 Figuring out how to communicate with the USBcontroller on the FPGA
Debugging resize algorithm. Graphics package nowworks to see results.
5.15.04 Writing resize algorithm in C++ in a friendly way towhen we have to write it in Verilog. Using graphics package that for somereason isn’t working.
5.11.04 Cell phone development environment up and runningwith Bluetooth chat sample code
USB controller on FPGA is working and communicatingwith PC
5.6.04 Researching cell phone development environment.
5.5.04: USB cable and crystal arrived for FPGA board. Worked on getting USB controller towork. Discovered we need anoscillator not a crystal, put in order with Waylon.
Began playing with personal server.
4.26.04: Both:Wrote "Update 1" & created "Status Page"
Chris:Experimented with USB tracer program with webcam.
Nathaniel:Experimented with the FPGA USB controller.
4.21.04: Both:Downloaded drivers/software for webcam. And found tracer software.
Readdocumentation on USB controller.
Nathaniel:Got the USB controller module loaded and looked over.
4.20.04: Both:Researched USB controller solutions and webcam protocol. Webcam protocol is abig dead-end. MS website has info on IWiaVideo Interface class and bDeviceClassfor C program interface with USB cameras but not helpful at the bit-level.
Nathaniel:Talked with Bruce about the USB controller module for the FPGA.
