• Speed: 2400 bps - 115 kbps (“Serial Infrared”, or SIR)

• How it works:

  • only 0’s require pulse (and thus power) ; pulse < full bit time
  • standard UART byte framing
  • pulse is constant 1.6 ?s long (so duty cycle varies with speed)

• AverageDuty Cycle: ? 9%
