Computers
We will be using the Dell PCs located in the Baxter Computer
Engineering Lab, CSE 003. Please do not eat or drink in
the laboratory, and
respect both the equipment and your fellow students.
These machines were donated to the department by Dell and by Intel Corporation of Hillsboro,
OR.
The MSOffice software was donated to the department by Microsoft Corporation of Redmond,
WA.

Wikipedia has a good discussion of different aspects of embedded
systems and definitions for a whole lot of terms.
Atmel Documentation and Tools
WinAVR is a version of the open-source GCC compiler for the AVR-series
of microprocessors.
TinyOS Documentation
TinyOS is the operating system for the Berkeley Motes.
