CSE466 Textbook
CoursePak for CSE466 Autumn 2004:
There is no required textbook. We've collected a variety of data sheets
and papers for you that are available as a UW coursepak at the
Communication Copy Center in the Communications bldg, Rm B-042 at a
cost of $24.75.
The CoursePak includes the following:
- Excerpts from the ATmega16 Datasheet (the microcontroller we will
be using throughout the quarter)
- DLP-2232M Datasheet (the USB adapter device we will be using for
the first project)
- FT2232 (USB Chip) Application Note on using the MPSSE
(Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine) (the chip on the USB adapter
board)
- Summary of TinyOS and Naming Conventions (the operating system
for the UC Berkeley wireless nodes)
- nesC 1.1 Language Reference Manual (the language you'll be using
to program the UC Berkeley wireless nodes)
- Three Papers on TinyOS and nesC (papers about the wireless node
technology)
Lab Fee:
Lab equipment required for the duration of a course or project must
be first checked out from the Lab Manager and secured with a deposit
check of $200 made payable to "University of Washington" (note that
this check will not be cashed but will be returned to the student upon
the return of all checked-out equipment in good condition). Each
student must turn in a separate check even though only one
kit will be checked out to each pair of students.
