Textbook (Recommended)
Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach (6th Edition), Kurose and Ross.
Note: There is a newer edition of this text. I chose the 6th edition because it can be much cheaper. It will even work to go back another edition if you want to save a few more dollars. All this to say I encourage buying the book, especially if you benefit from having a book to support the lectures and class experiences.
