I have received an anonymous question about switching partners for the
next Fishnet assignment.
I realize wanting to switch partners is often a symptom of feeling one
partner is not pulling their weight. For future assignments, we may
assign separate grades to partners after interviewing both partners to see
if you both understand how the code works. We may also include questions
about Fishnet on homeworks or the final, which will be much easier to
answer if you understand the Fishnet programming assignments.
However, I know there are sometimes irreconcilable differences between
partners. I want to make sure that any "divorces" are above board -- that
all parties involved agree to it, and no one is left without a partner.
If you want to switch partners, please visit my office hours (TTh
1:30-2:30) or make an appointment to see me, and we'll try to work out an
agreeable solution.
Cheers,
Janet
