(from the Google doc)
- Gary Schwartz will be here on Thursday - we will meet at 10:30 on Thursday and Friday but they will be short; after the announcements we will split up. Motion will be working on the styleguide with Gary, everyone else will go across the hall.
- Gary will be here from 10 am - 4 pm Thursday and 10 am to 1 pm Friday
- Student producers will split up so we can take notes
- Reviews will be done across the hall if any materials need review during the acting session
- Two things needed to be ready, if you're working on the style guide -
- Look at "Mr. Bean's Physical Comedy" posted by Barbara
- Re-watch film on physical comedy to prepare for tomorrow
- What to expect:
- We are going to listen to him have a self-dialogue so we can get inside Nebbish's head
- He will be going through the full animatic quickly to warm up
- Next, he will be going through every single shot
- Everyone's role will be to watch carefully and observe - this will be taped for you to go back and look at it later
- Hold off on suggestions and questions until the end of the session with Gary - he will be in character and will answer as if he is Nebbish
- Regarding rigs
- Jason is working on rigging issues - will be meeting with Dave, Nick, possibly Kimberly and Stephen on the state of the weight paints, models, rigs
- By Friday morning, we should have a good idea of where we stand
- Nebbish's apparel
- Costumes: 1) Sunburn and shorts, 2) Scuba gear
- Wiki embedded calendars
- The student producers have set up embedded calendars in all the team wiki pages. The login/password for this should be sent out soon.
- Progress
Brice -- Concept art for scuba equipment, cliff
needs to check in with Barbara about animals & Gary
Kim -- seahorse feedback
tail loses volume, need blendshape
work with motion to see if deformations work
Larry -- Dolphin
Tail could use finessing
bottom is too flat, work on the curve more
it's a little lumpy
less boxy around the face.
Sean -- fantasy seashell feedback
Make sure base matches up
Make it look more organic, less like a turtle shell
Accentuate the curve for the edges of the shell more
Keep the texturing on the inside of the clam
make the inside of the clam deeper
Mark -- puffer
Work on "beak"
try to get more mass in the front, less like he swallowed a football
less lumpy in the front of the head
follow cute fish for fin guide
