Class notes from motion meeting May 31

Things to fix:

Shot 27

--need to change her walk to more of a curve, so we may place the tree
more to screen right
--2nd head nod needs to be slower; it is too jerky right now
--add branches to tree, so the birds can represent more of a 3D space
--her walk into the space needs to accelerate as she gets more accustomed
and more excited with the world she's in

-- TRY adding in the shadow to the tree after the tree has been
formed. A backup idea would be to simulate sketching in the shadow ( after
the tree has been formed) General approach to all of the objects formed in
the environment... Also, camerawise, we might want to start dollying in at
the beginning of the shot when the girl is stationary, then have the
camera stop at the door of the elevator, then have the girl move forward
into the space and at the end of the shot try shifting the camera slightly
(when the girl's feet at in full view and not slipping) to show the 3D
aspects of the enironment.

Shot 31

--needs a heavier gate
--Mr. P's reaction needs more screentime; hold his surprise in the end

Shot 33

--throw a jaw on the female operator, so she can chew gum
--tilt head first, then shrug; as it is right now, all of her actions
happen at once

Shot 34

--add frames in the beginning, so we can see his stance shift as she moves
into the elevator space
--clarify the final hand tug gesture
--his pose at the end needs to relax and hold; add some seconds at the end
of the shot
--she looks a bit stiff; wieght shift needs to be a bit more accentuated
--on her 3rd step, she needs to turn around

Shot 44

--head turn is a bit fast

Shot 45

--slow down the zoom; don't move camera in so far

Shot 46

--this shot must convey Mr. P's satisfaction with himself

-- Mr P. turns, puts arms up, sits back, then borad smile -- in that order and very very clear. Take the time needed to make the borad smile
at the end slow and CLEAR.

Jazzworld

For the Jazzworld, we NEED to add the 21/2 D characters in, remove the
yellow side of the tarp and use the same blue shader as is used for the
rest of the tarp. We also need to put the 2 1/2 D characters in the front,
the 2D characters in the Mid ground and the completely flat untextured
charaters in the background. Then we need to choreograph the position and
movement of the characters to go with Jack and Ruby's movements.

***GENERAL NOTE***

Anyone working with the garbage poker needs to scale it down.
