Class notes from meeting w/ Taproot Friday, 5/15
Things to fix:
Soften Mr. P's shoulders
People are cross eyed.
Abby's arms needs to be extended (within her shirt)
Give Ruby breathing capabilities
Shot 1, 2
On hold until the park world is established more.
Shot 3
Mr. P needs eyebrow movements and a bit of a jaw drop.
His eyes are jittering.
Shot 4
Camera bouncing a little too much.
Shot 6
Jack's body needs to be turned more towards the elevator.
The placement of the couple is a little awkward.
Have Mr. P start his motion earlier in the shot (ie, cut out the first few frames so that he's already at the door by the time the shot starts.)
Jack is looking around too much and his head seems to be moving all over the place.
Shot 7
Shoulders need to go back more.
Right arm pops.
Right arm floats a bit.
Right leg extends out too much.
Fix his turn (fewer steps?)
Shot 8
Elongate eye contact between couple.
After breath, shoulders come down first, then head, or lessen the head movement.
Make Ruby's head less squishy.
Should Ruby cross her arms?
Shot 9
Shoulders are too parallel to the screen and don't move the whole time
very much (like the head does).
Arms are up too high.
He should be looking at the couple the entire time.
Shot 10
Start with arms down more.
Hand is going through dress.
Jack's arm are "twinning".
Ruby's head and arm are stopping at the same time.
Look at footage from Taproot from today.
Shot 11
Upper lip needs to move as well (looks like he's just biting his lower
lip over his upper one)
Expressions are happening all at once.
Needs blinks.
Inhale and blink at the time he comes to his idea
More of a smile at the end.
His cheek stays up too much.
Shot 12
Step Mr. P Back a little more.
Shot 13
More movement in Abby.
Shot 14
Straighten out right index finger and relax thumbs.
Punctuate the end so that you know it's the end of the cycle.
Shot 15
Is Jack looking outside or is he listening to something first?
Put Ruby's left shoulder a little behind Jack initially.
Shot 16
Left hip kicks out a little bit, rather than a twist in the hips.
Shot 19
Eye gaze: lids needs to come down.
Head a little still. Hand moves first.
Shot 23
Move camera a little bit.
Head popping - reduce movements to 2 beats
Longer shoulder touch.
Fix camera
Shot 24
Lift his head up and lead with arm.
Raise up a little from her level.
Fix camera
