Assignment #9: Fishing

Assigned: Thursday, November 20th, 2014
Due: Tuesday, December 9th @ 5:00 PM

You will be working with Gary to develop reference for your final work in this class. The scenario will be as follows:

Your character (the Corruption rig) finds himself in he middle of a vast ocean sitting in a rowboat with a fishing pole and tackle box. He casts a line and waits for a fish to bite. Finally there's a tug on the line and he pulls something in. You will reveal to the audience what he finds at the end of the line and how he responds to it. Focus heavily on all of the principles of animation that we have covered this quarter and follow the pipeline we've taught you.

You have roughly three weeks for this assignment. You will need to provide video from the actor, video of yourself acting out your scenario, video including close-ups of facial expressions, a planning sheet, your major poses, breakdowns, and (when you've been given the go ahead by the staff) your final polish.

You can add one simple modeled object. You must use the row boat and fishing pole and tackle box we provide. You will create whatever you need to that illustrates what is at the end of the fishing line.

You will have three in class reviews and a final deadline. Here's the plan:
