Shot Development for Character Animation

1. Find your partner. If you choose to work solo, both have to agree and we will expect two times the work.

2. Determine who will animate and who will develop EFX. Develop a timeline for your work, so that you can finish it by the final review date. Set plans for intermediate goals.

3. Develop planning sheets for both the character behavior and the EFX design. Include MP, LOA, Force Lines, Text description. timing indications, camera location, lights, color.

4. Approval for planning sheets. Review of rough in's for EFX and Character.

5. Rough in integration of EFX and Character movement/behavior

6. First render review. Include lighting. March 5th in class.

7. Improve and refine shot. Re render for March 12th.

8. Final Reviews on March 14 and 20th. All supervisor feedback needs to be incorporated into the final shot. Final render will be approximately 400 frames at 30 FPS. 720 by 480. Maya images should be either Tiff or Targa format. You will be exporting your frames to Premiere and rendering the final shots to Indeo format in order to be placed on the web.
