Each year the animation capstone makes available a suite of marking menus, shelves, and Maya workspace settings to assist with both individual class projects and eventually production work.
To install this production workspace to your login profile simply go to the Windows start menu and paste the following path into "Search files and programs", and hit enter:
\\csenetid\cs\unix\projects\instr\capstone2\production\scripts\install_capstone_shelves.py
A window will pop up indicating that the capstone shelves have been installed. Note that if your profile does not save you will have to repeat this each time you log in.
Now when you load Maya in the lab a series of shelves containing tools used by the animation capstone will automatically update.
After restarting Maya, you should see a new tab appear on the shelves with the name "RiggingPlus".
To use the casptone shelves on your personal machine, you will have to first download a portable version of them onto your computer. The link to it has been sent out via email.
After downloading them and unzipping the folder, follow the instructions in the README file to complete installation.
Note that the portable capstone shelves have slightly fewer tools. This is because some tools require access to files and folders on The Network and can only be used on a lab machine.
