Project 6c: Planning Sheets

Goal

To practice how to plan before animating.

Prerequisite Exercises

• Animation Principles

For next week's assignment you will be animating a short using the mouse rig. The two primary requirements for the animation are that it must be 5-10 seconds long and the mouse must interact with an object. For this portion of the assignment you will prepare for the short by devising a brief story and then drawing planning sheets.

1. Think of an idea to animate! It can be a story, a gag, whatever you want as long as it shows your understanding of the animation principles and covers the requirements.
2. Draw out your planning sheets. It may help to take/find reference of the motions you want to animate (make sure to turn-in any reference you use). Don't forget to show lines of action, motion arcs, and labeling of your poses.
