This scene includes dispersion for refracted rays. When rays refract, they are split into six rays tracing red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and violet rays components for that split. Most of the computing time for this scene was spent on the bottom right figure, and it ultimately took just under 3.5 hours to render, with the only additional features turned on being antialiasing and dispersion, and no soft shadows or depth of field.
