Homework 1 Corrections and Clarifications

• Clarification for Problem 2 (a):
  
  We're looking for a filter that will double the value of each pixel. The term "brightness" is a little misleading, so you can replace it with the word "value". (Web copy updated on 4/20.)
  
  
• Correction for Problem 4 (a):
  
  It should say "Assume that after transformation, the **height** is doubled and the **width** is halved." We had "height" and "width" reversed.  (Web copy updated on 4/20.)
  
  
• Clarification for Problem 5 (c):
  
  This exercise does not require you to write out any transformations. Along the necessary edges you should simply have a label as in the lecture where Mua is used to represent the tranformation necessary for the upper arm.
  
  
• Correction to Problem 6 (b):
  
  The z-coordinate of the points Q should have a +, not -. That is, the z-coordinates should be zi + vt.  (Web copy updated on 4/16.)
